Indications
Crestor 10 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of hypercholesterolaemia.
Dosage
The dosage depends on the condition being treated. It can be taken orally, continuously or in divided doses.

How to use
Crestor 10 mg Tablet should be taken with or without food.
Missed dose

Storage

Side effects
Headache, weakness, dizziness, diarrhea, abdominal pain, flushing, dyslipidemia, headache, or asthenia may occur in some patients. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor.

Interaction

BackgroundCrestor® is a prescription medication approved for the treatment of high cholesterol, the primary cause of the. In addition, Crestor® is approved for the treatment of hypertension, and for the prevention of heart disease. Crestor® is a statin approved for the treatment of statin- and non-statin-dependent (Nodal), non-cholesterol-sensitive (CCS) and type 2 (PPV) coronary artery disease. Crestor® also has the potential to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events associated with statin therapy and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events associated with non-statin treatment of statin-dependent (Nodal) coronary artery disease. This is a Phase III clinical trial that will evaluate Crestor® as an oral therapy for the treatment of high cholesterol, the primary cause of the disease. The Phase III trial will also assess Crestor® as an adjunctive therapy to a statin monotherapy in patients with a history of myocardial infarction or coronary heart disease, and in patients with a history of cardiovascular events. A total of 5,539 patients with primary coronary artery disease treated with Crestor® and 5,839 patients with stable coronary heart disease treated with either of these agents will be randomly assigned to receive either Crestor® (2.25 mg once daily) or a placebo, given orally for the first 4 weeks of treatment. Patients who do not respond to either drug will be given a second drug that will be added to their regimen for the next 4 weeks of treatment.
Crestor® (rosuvastatin calcium) is indicated for the treatment of patients with coronary artery disease, as well as patients with high cholesterol who are at high risk of cardiovascular events.
